Stand For Courage (Let's fight bullying together) app for iPhone and iPad

The Stand for Courage mobile app is a revolutionary tool designed to reward teenagers who come to the aid of those who have been bullied or mistreated online or in public. The app will eventually allow those who see courageous acts in the face of bullying to nominate those who stand up for themselves or others. These nominations will also be eligible for the Stand For Courage award.

First however, we need to hear your story, and know who is out there! The Stand for Courage app will encourage, incentivize, and provide a substantive reason to stand up for others in school, online, and in people’s daily lives. You can submit a story that captures the positive change that you want recognized by Stand for Courage. Your submission will be about someone who protected you, themselves, or someone else. Some of the SFC eventual prizes will be discounts and coupons to your favorite local venues, others might include a visit from a recognized community member to the courageous person at school or work, or even receiving concert or sport tickets or backstage passes at musical events.

The Stand for Courage movement is quickly growing and this app is part of the effort to effect a large and noticeable change in the way that we look and address bullying behavior. In addition to creating a profile and submitting a story that might eventually get nominated for SFC rewards, teens can also view and contribute to the “Get Inspired” section, where favorite quotes about courage and advice on navigating scary situations will be found.
